• Hello,

I am new to WordPress but am trying to determine if our existing Windows hosting package can support WordPress.

Currently we are running ColdFusion with SQL Server 2005, so I am wondering if anyone has setup WordPress on a server with both PHP and ColdFusion running and even SQL Server with MySQL.

I am trying to see if there are any incompatibility issues or if this will create significant overhead on the server.

    Thanks,

    Jamie H

  • As long as you have MySQL and PHP, your installation should be fine.

WordPress doesn’t need ColdFusion, so I guess you could say that having ColdFusion on your server is more than what you need, but I don’t think it would cause problems that would get in the way of your blog working properly.
