PHP code to get the post_id of the related roduct

I want to retrieve the post_id for the related child custom post, when the parent post is being displayed and based on the post code need to call the do_shortcode function.

Please advise the code snippet that will help me retrieve the post_id of the related child custom post when the parent post gets renderd.
