    Hey there,

I have been adding some plugins to my WordPress site and have found a white bar at the bottom of my page, containing the opening and closing comment syntax for php. (/* */).

I cannot find what added this, or where to get rid of it. If someone could direct me to the right plugin or page that would be awesome. Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Have you tried disabling each of your plugins, especially the ones you added recently, to test if that removes the text?

I did try that, and it did not remove it.

you can try and temporarily switch to the default theme Twenty Seventeen to see if the characters disappear.

then possibly check footer.php of your theme.

    Hey Michael,

Changing the theme didn’t help, but looking in the footer.php file did!

It was the commenting out of the WordPress footer that was causing the issue. Since I didn’t want it there anyways I just deleted that line of code.

    Thanks!
