Hi, it’s been years this plugin has not got any updates.

And it still checks only up to PHP 7.3 version, most of us are using 7.4 version.

And 8.1 version is already out there, will we ever get the support for checking plugins compatibility for PHP 8.1 Version?

This is really cool feature to have, to know which plugins are compatible with php version.

Hoping that we will have some update from you guys.

    Thank you.

  • Yes, please. I’d love to find a PHP compatibility checker for 8.1.

+1 for this. please update the plugin for newer PHP versions.

Yes sadly its become not very useful. I’m having PHP 8 issues and need something!

    Yes, please update this! Meanwhile…
Has anyone found any other tools that are helpful to use when having problems updating to PHP 8.1?

It seems 1.6.1 now checks for PHP 8.0 compatibility (even though the changelog doesn’t mention this)!

So actually the real problem is that most of the generally available PHP compatibility checking tools available barely scan for PHP 8.0 compatibility, most only have some partial support for PHP 8.0 scanning and it’s all still in development without an official release. PHP 8.1 scanning is even more doubtful, though there aren’t as many changes between 8.0 and 8.1. Basically the only way to confirm PHP 8+ compatibility for WordPress is to just run it and test things out. Even WordPress Core only considers PHP 8.0 as beta support.
