PHP Cookies Doesn’t Work With WP Super Cache

You’ll have to write a WP Super Cache plugin that adds your cookie on to the cookies checked by WP Super Cache.

You use add_cacheaction to add the filter on the “wp_cache_get_cookies_values” filter, and add the COOKIE value to the end of the string.

The next release of WP Super Cache will make it significantly easier to add this sort of code from another WordPress plugin. See #574 for details, or the plugins section in the developer docs.

From this thread comes this fix for a GDPR plugin. The code there will work for THAT plugin but you can massage it to work with any cookie.

But it would be great if cookies are allowed in WP Super Cache without writing any extra code. Is it possible?

It might be possible, but by default the plugin would have to work the current way and only depend on WordPress login cookies.

Probably the best way would be for a filter that runs in wp-admin so other plugins could add their cookies to a list of recognised names.

The example code in the checkin message is an mu-plugin I made to test a cookie banner. Works well on my own blog at https://odd.blog/ if you want to try clicking that cookie banner. Webdev tools will show the eucookie being set.
