    Hello,

    I am unable to install this plugin due to a fatal error.

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘The Facebook SDK requires PHP version 5.4 or higher.’ in /home/xxx/facebook-auto-publish/api/Facebook/autoload.php:32 Stack trace: #0 /home/xxx/wp-content/plugins/facebook-auto-publish/facebook-auto-publish.php(53): require_once() #1 /home/xxx/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php(1943): include(‘/home/langua22/…’) #2 /home/xxx/wp-admin/plugins.php(164): plugin_sandbox_scrape(‘facebook-auto-p…’) #3 {main} thrown in /home/xxx/wp-content/plugins/facebook-auto-publish/api/Facebook/autoload.php on line 32

    A quick google search “Facebook Auto Publish Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘The Facebook SDK requires PHP version 5.4 or higher” lists many websites with the same problem that haven’t been noticed or fixed. Any suggestion on what to do to fix this?

    Your plugin is really great, and I would like to keep using it.

  • Your PHP is out of date. Ask your hosting to update PHP to version 5.6 or 7.

    Yes, that’s correct. My server was reporting that I had 5.6 installed, when in fact it was still at 5.3. The hosting has fixed this and now the plugin works perfectly. ??
