Hi there, a recent upgrade of the plugin crashed our site because we are dealing with a legacy environment where we have no control of the version of PHP.

    Here’s the error:

[Thu Aug 03 10:33:05.375960 2023] [:error] [pid 548] PHP Parse error:? syntax error, unexpected ‘)’ in /var/www/html/sitedir/wp-content/plugins/wp-database-backup/includes/admin/class-wpdb-admin.php on line 349

Is there a way we could download an older version of the plugin?

    Thanks!

Hi, Thanks for reaching out to us and we apologize for the inconvenience. Could you please let us know where and how this error is occurring? It would be great if you could share a screenshot of the issue as it will make it easier for us to understand.

Additionally, could you please roll back your plugin version and check if you are still facing the same issue with the previous one?

Hi there, thanks for responding. As it turns out the most recent plugin version 6.5 was incompatible with our very old PHP 5.6 version. I removed the plugin directory, installed the 6.2 version with WP CLI and the site errors went away. I had been unable to view the site or log in through /wp-admin as the site just displayed a “critical error” message. We don’t have control over the PHP version at this point unfortunately, but installing 6.2 did the trick!
