Hi there, I’m getting this PHP error below. Is this a bug in the plugin that needs fixing on your end?

How bad is this for the functionality and security of my Site?

And how do I fix it?

    Hi @alyxleclaire,

Can you tell me on which page exactly are you seeing this error because I tested Smush on my end with Query Monitor and I didn’t see any reports shown?

I can see that the error also mentioned your theme so it’s possible that it’s a conflict with the specific theme used on your site, can you try switching to default WP theme and see if the report is gone after that?

From the report shown it seems that this is just a notice that shouldn’t have any effect on your site functionality, but it should be checked further so if the issue is related to your theme please let us know which theme you’re using so we can check this further and see if there’s anything on our end that can be done about this.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

Thanks Predrag, I see the Notice message on all pages on the Site (not within in the wp admin settings menus).

I’m not sure if switching to a WP theme and back could squirly up all my customization settings, so I haven’t tried that yet but I’m looking into it and will let you know.

For now, the theme that gives off the notice is the latest version 1.6.7.8 https://www.ads-software.com/themes/bard/.

    Hi @alyxleclaire,

I’ve tested Bard theme on my end with Lazy Loading but I’m afraid that I still can’t see any reports in Query Monitor.

I’m not much familiar with this theme so I’m not sure how it saves the settings so it’s best to do the test on a staging site or have a full backup of your site ready before you try with different theme.

This should tell is if there’s something specific in the theme settings that is causing the error that you’re seeing.

    Cheers,
    Predrag
