• Hi there everyone,

I have been left so frustrated and I find everyone passes the buck.My images wont upload over 1MB, as soon as it gets to 70% it says http error and freezes or jumps to page cant be displayed. I can upload small images like 500KB and up to 1MB but anything over it goes wrong. My host said I have problem with core files but when I say I can load some files they changed my php to 5.3 version which is still way off the current 7.3php.

I have sent WordPress a ticket but havent heard anything back . So I have hit a brick wall.
I am doing a health check with your plugin .

    So far says this:
PHP Version 5.6.40 – For best performance we recommend using PHP 7.2 or higher.
    Whats this mean :PHP Extensions
The optional module, libsodium, is not installer, or has been disabled.
The optional module, imagick, is not installer, or has been disabled.

Everywhere else has ticks . My host says restore backup, which means I will losee work and is that really the answer every time to do this ? This problem has been here on and off past months.

Do WordPress do a paid service to help with this ? Its a big waste of time and so fed up.

    Thanks

    James

If you check in the debug section of the plugin, could you provide us with the information posted there (there’s a handy copy-paste button fr your convenience), as it sounds more like a server configuration in this case, but we need more information to say for certain.

    Hi Marius or anyone else,

all my core files seem fine after check so maybe the configuration could be the issue .

I cant even load a photo at moment. I have changed php to 7.2

    Thanks

Update – I cannot load any photo now its ridiculous. All core files have their integrity no issues. I cannot do any single thing on the site , my host doesnt have any idea sadly on this

Hmm, so I see two plugins I know deal with media handling:
    – Default to GD
    – Jetpack

It sounds like you’ve got two separate issues, in a manner of speaking.

For the images not showing at all, check if Jetpack’s Photon module is enabled (the image CDN option), if they work when you turn that off, you’ll want to contact Jetpack about that over at https://jetpack.com/support/

For the image uploads failing, could you try removing the “Default to GD” plugin, WordPress should handle swapping which module is used for you, so you don’t need to use external plugins there hopefully, unless your server installation is broken in some way.

    Hi Darius,

Thanks for help. I told support of what you said and I have deactivate the GD plugin and still have issue . I will look at the accelerator too to turn off for quicker loading. Thanks for help. Support are doing troubleshooting but I think I am leaning your way into thinking its a configuration issue maybe.

    Thanks for help.

    Hi Marius ,

Yes its annoying. I think WordPress support are confused also. It seems like the problem aludes everyone yet a week ago had no issue.

Their gonna check my server error logs soon at host. They said to come back on here and check but cant find any other information on the topic apart from you .

    Thanks

    James

I just started having this issue as well. It turns out it is Litespeed that is the culprit. I am opening a ticket with them as I write this.
