PHP Fatal error after update – "get_post_title_format" not found

  • After the recent update I am getting the following error in my error log file

    Call to undefined function get_post_title_format() in /path/to/wp/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/aioseop_class.php on line 2600

    My entire error log is full of this error message and I have currently disabled the plugin. Any idea why this is happening?

  • Hi Sudar,

    This was a bug, which is now fixed. Please delete your copy of the plugin and install it again from the WordPress plugin repository, and that should resolve your issue.

    Could you guys please do something about the changelog?

    I can’t work out whether 2.2.4 is the latest or not. It was released on the 19th but this post is only 24 hours old and is this bug fixed in 2.2.4 or an unknown 2.2.5

    I deleted and reinstalled the plugin and it seems to be working fine.

    My two cents.

    I understand that sometimes you could make a release with a bug in it which you might realise within a few minutes after releasing it. I am a plugin author myself so I definitely understand this.

    But please increase the version number when you fix it. That way your users will get a notification that there is an update and can easily update it. If you release it without increasing the version number then it becomes extremely difficult for your users to update it.

    Hi Sudar and Dave,

    This bug was fixed on Saturday immediately after it was first reported. We did not bump the version which was a mistake on our part. I will ensure that in future we do not push bug fixes like this without bumping the version number. I sincerely apologize for this mistake on our part.
