PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_block_type()

  • Our website recently went offline reporting a 500 error, with no access to the admin. The error logs show:

    Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_block_type() in httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-school-calendar-lite/lite/wp-school-calendar-lite.php on line 58\n’

    Manually deactivating the plugin brought the website back online.

    We need to be able to use the Calendar, so would appreciate any insight in to how to fix this issue.
