3 days ago my site was no longer responding to requests.
After doing some checking it seems Gallery-Plugin has failed.

Checking the logs I found this entry:

06-May-2020 19:32:14 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home10/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photo-gallery/framework/BWGOptions.php on line 330

I renamed the folder for gallery plugin in and was able to get back my site.
The site is running php 7.n

Would a reinstall of the plugin fix the problem or is there a fault with the code?

At the moment I can’t add pictures to the site.

    update:
attempted to re-enable – came up with this error. Note the line error number has moved.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home10/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photo-gallery/framework/BWGOptions.php on line 336

I think the directory where you want to install or update does not have write permissions.

    Dear @lateralnw,

Would you please try updating the gallery to version 1.5.54?

    Thank you,

    Dear @lateralnw,

    Thanks for the inquiry.

Would you please verify where your site is hosted? It is hosted at wordpress.com?

    Sincerely.

    Hi Asya (@asyag)

My site is hosted with Crazy Domains.

I did install version 1.5.54 which seems to have removed the PHP errors however I have a separate error that is displayed across every page of my site.

    Here is an example:

    Photo Gallery Plugin

    Updated plugin

    Dear @lateralnw,

You have changed the photo gallery uploads folder. Seems like you changed it in a strange way like changing it from this site (home10) to another (home4).
We suggest that you backup the site and change “Uploads Directory” from PG Options to default “wp-content/uploads”.

Let us know how it worked.

    Sincerely,

    Hi Asya (@asyag)

I have done some checking on my site and confirm that I haven’t changed the folder the plugin goes to.
I did however restore the folder by disabling the original and then copying the backup to the same plugin name.
This meant that I had a renamed folder that stopped the error and then the back up folder with the correct name.
I copied the back files into the original folder and updated the plugin but still have the same issue.
If the plugin folder is renamed To have the # in front of the directory name the web site no longer displays the line code error across every page in the site.

Do you have a clean up tool or reset tool I could run to fix the problem?

    Regards,
    Lateralnw

    Dear @lateralnw,

The easiest, for now, would be restoring database to an earlier version.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a tool for resetting or cleaning up if this does not help to recreate galleries.

    Sincerely,
