Hello, I am updating 6 sites on the same shared server that use jetpack and after running each update. I am getting a fatal error recorded in the php.

(I notice a similar fatal error was around about 9 months ago following a previous upgrade. The link for this is below.)

I have not looked into this error yet in great detail on my sites. Thought I should find out if anyone else also has the same issue first?

    The error is

[21-May-2014 11:18:26 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function stat() on a non-object in [redacted]/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-heartbeat.php on line 85

This is the link to the previous resolved issue https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fatal-error-in-in-234-classjetpack-heartbeatphp-line-76

    Thanks
    -Tina

  • I had the same error when I upgraded to 3.0.

If you look at the changelog for the 3.0.1 update, the last bugfix mentioned sounds like it could be this issue.

I just installed the update, hopefully this fixes it. I’ll be back tomorrow if it doesn’t.

    Howdy,

That’s correct. This was fixed in 3.0.1. Sorry for the trouble!

I am having this trouble right now ..nothing seems to have changed.

@thenetgirl: What is your site’s URL and can you confirm that you’re running Jetpack 3.0.1?
