PHP Fatal Error: Out of Memory

  • Hello WP

    Can someone help me to solve this issue.

    WP Ver. 2.6.2
    PHP Ver. 5.2.5
    Apache 2.0.63

    Plugins: Default from install.

    When i load visit my blog i can view the front page fine i can visit the About page on the blog but when it comes to logging into WP-admin i get 500 Internal Server Error. I have deleted WP and reinstalled but with no luck the error keeps showing.

    This is found in my error_log but my hosting provider is tell me its not a server issue and relates to an programming error on the 3rd party script.

    The server has had a memory upgrade and the php.ini is configured fine.

    Any help would be helpful, if you need to information please ask. I have a similar issue with phpbb forums getting 500 error.

    I’ve got more or less the same issue, except it does it when I try to upload an image into my new post! This is what it says:

    Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 45613056) (tried to allocate 12032 bytes) in /home/mikey/public_html/wp-admin/includes/image.php on line 147

    Were you able to fix the problem since???

    I too an receiving the same error message. Is this an issue with WP 2.7, or is this have to do with my host php settings?
    The more I search on this issue the more confused I get.

    My host supplies me with 64 megs. Apparently, this is still not enough PHP.

    I’m getting the same thing a few things I have noticed but
    -I’m pretty confident my php.ini is fine (I can up load images fine which are much larger than the ones I have errors with)
    -I can upload many photos including other jpegs fine
    -It’s only jpeg’s from one specific digital camera I have problems with

    This, would to me at least suggest it’s a problem with a certain type of jpeg, don’t know if anyone can add anything further, however I would also add I get this with the flash uploader, if I wait till it clears the que there sitting in my gallery ready to use but scale to thumbnails terribly, if i convert them to png or another format they work perfectly
