PHP $i not advancing

I’m trying to add a script where when each post loads, the $i++ advances with each post that loads as you scroll (ie post 1, post 2, post 3, etc.) and all it’s doing is spitting out the same number and not advancing. I’m guessing there’s an easy solution, so I appreciate your help.
