  • I think we’ll need more info than that. You may want to try to write a small php file with the phpinfo function inside to ensure that everything was compiled properly and the right extentions are there. Let us know what you find from there at least.

I think I found the answere to my problem… I have hosting through Godaddy and my hosting is on a Windows server with ASP. Apparently I need to run on a Linux server with PHP. I am currently waiting for my account to be transfered, hopefully that will work.

lol… I hope they get everything up for you soon. I think yo ucan mark this as resolved now.

    I have the same problem.

I just changed my hosting to PHP, is this all thats needed?

I know nothing about this, but what else will changing to PHP do? Is there anything I should know?

    Cheers.

There are requirements for running wordpress. REad it here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Hosting_WordPress

    Thanks for that!

    Hi,

I am having a problem also.

First of all I set this up in XP, with the PWS. Works well, with PWS running PHP!

Now that I have put the same settings onto my Web Server, which is Server 2003 web edition. I can login to MySQL 5, with the users credentials. PHP runs as okay as well.

I have used the php.ini from my xp box.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

I managed to get is sorted!

It was a bit extreme, but I rebuilt the web server, then reinstalled PHP and MySQL by the book.

    Worked first time!

    Cheers

    Graham
