  • Hi @natobasso,

Thanks for reaching out. The core files should not be changed. When you get a chance, could you please share the WordPress version, WP Mail SMTP version you’re using?

In the meantime, please make sure you do not have other similar SMTP plugins. You can test with only the WP Mail SMTP plugin and default theme active and see if the issue is reproducible. You could also check if your files and folders permissions are correct.

    Regards,

    Hello –

Having similar issues, the Default Mailer had stopped working altogether within one of the latest updates. We usually just set the Default Mailer when setting up new client sites just for form testing and then set up an actual SMTP account thereafter once the DNS is configured and the website is live.

But even on brand new installs with the default Twenty Tweny-One them and no other plugins, no emails are being sent out.

    Thanks.

Hi @natobasso – Please create a new support post. It does not sound like you’re facing the fatal error as described in the original issue.

Hi @natobasso – We haven’t heard from you in about a while, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this ticket resolved. If you still have questions, though, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
