PHP not an option

    After I click “add new”, there is not option to select “php cron event” or “standard cron event”. There is no “event type” section on the page. I am updated with all plug-ins and I am the administrator of the website. Not sure what to do. Help?

    Hi, we never had an option to add the two types of cron and I’m not sure what do you mean by “php cron event” and “standard cron event”. If you’re looking to add the PHP directly in the WordPress admin, I disadvise doing that due to security reasons.

    PHP should live in the PHP file on the server, not in the database, where potentially everyone is able to modify and/or run it.
