PHP not handling some pages
-
After getting all of this to work in Fedora, I went back to Ubuntu. I was able to get through the first couple steps of the wp-admin/install.php process quickly. It gave me a username and password and I named the blog. Funny thing is, when I try to log in at wordpress/login.php the browser responds by trying to download a “PHTML” file and asking me what to do with it. In my root directory for the site’s files, hello_world.php works. phpMyAdmin works. But for some reason logging in and trying to access anything inside the wordpress directory results in confusing my browser. I made sure root was the owner of everything, etc etc. I’m running a fairly fresh install of Ubuntu Hoary.
Any idea what’s going on? I’m certain this is a configuration problem but I don’t know where to look. Please don’t tell me I haven’t got php/mysql installed, because I DO. =P
