I built my site offline. When it is brought online, Elementor will no longer work, and I get the “preview could not be loaded” message. My hosting service found issues, but they do not know how to fix it for me on the server side of things. I’ve done every troubleshooting step recommended by Elementor and the plugin still does not work. I have another site that uses the exact same plugins and theme on the same server, and it is working just fine.

Here is an example of one of the errors: PHP Notice: Elementor\Controls_Manager::add_control_to_stack was called incorrectly. Cannot redeclare control with same name “eael_pricing_table_tooltip_padding”.

Has this happened before to someone? If so, how did you fix it? Any ideas are appreciated.

  • Just reaching here but does the base Elementor work on your host? I.E. if you load Elementor and your template without uploading your complete site. Have you checked your PHP version?

Yes, the base Elementor works with my host. My PHP version is 5.6. What I can’t wrap my head around is why the plugin will work on all of my other sites on the same server, but not this one site.

Just because your on the same host doesn’t mean they are on the same server. PHP is up to 7.2 now. Check your other sites PHP version in the system tab.

Just checked, and they are both 5.6

Updating to 7.1 or 2 shouldn’t hurt. Have you checked the PHPmemory setting, should be at least 128. I’ve seen a number of posts about problems with developing the site locally and then uploading it. Are you using something like All-In-One-Migration to move the site to the server. If so you can move portions of the site one at a time. This might at least identify what is causing the problem.

    Wrong post

Thank you for your help and for the PHP information. I will see if that works.
