    THEME COFFEE MONKEY

Have you tried re-installing the theme? I can’t seem to reproduce the errors.

i have updated it to its latest version. how would you suggest reinstalling it? the site is live and i would hate to lose all the settings we have spent so much time on creating

laurabfont, do you have wp-debug set to true?

As for the notice, the first will be fixed in the next update, it’s nothing to worry about though, as for the other too those are developer suggestions, the theme has a header and footer file just not in the place that the debuger knows to look.

yes i have wp-debug set to true. i am having an issue with woocommerce and speed on the checkout section of my site. i contacted their support directly, they asked me to set debugging to true, and when i showed them the log they suggested i contact you to fix these issues as they believe this is causing the checkout process to move slowly.

i dont believe these warnings are what is causing the checkout to be slow but the woocommerce support team is struggling to come up with why it would be taking so long to load just the checkout page. i am also struggling to find the answer but i figured it would not hurt to contact you in order to check that this is not the reason.

Yeah these aren’t going to be a speed issue, are you using a checkout plugin or the standard paypal? Are you using https? How good is your server? What is your php max memory? Are you using jetpack(i don’t recommend it just trying to get a picture)?

-using woocommerce with stripe and paypal (both equally slow ~90 seconds after payment submitted)

-Using https but issue persists with http and https

-server: 2GB Ram 30GB SSD Disk

    -(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’96M’); php_value memory_limit 64M

    -not using jetpack

wow that is slow… seems like you have the server to handle it. who is your host?

I’m surprised woocommerce best advise was to fix a php notice…

If it makes you feel any better, I just uploaded version 2.0.9 which fixes the little php notice on the blog archive pages.

haha, thank you. i am using digitalocean to host.

i showed them my concern in addition to these:
I have seen this issue reported on other support forums as well:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/admin-ajaxphp-being-called-from-admin-pages-causing-db-connection-issues
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/admin-ajaxphp-issue-3
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/admin-ajaxphp-slow-server-response-time

the response was: I’ve seen those but there is no concrete cause. Unless someone can give proof and solution that works, we can’t move forward with this as we don’t see this issue on our end.

i disabled the new order email notification and this SIGNIFICANTLY improved the load time. The load time is still not ideal but this is the only thing that has seemed to work. Please note, I did not disable customer email notifications, just the email that gets sent to me when a user submits an order. Easy fix and very helpful.

Please note I tried all of the following, but the only thing that helped was email deactivation.

My server is digitalocean 2GB Ram 30GB SSD Disk.

    I have tried:

    1) deregistering the heartbeat api
    2) increasing the memory limit (96M) and php memory limit (64M)
    3) my WP URL and site URL match
    4) switched to default wp theme (no change)
    5) same issue on http and https
    6) logged in and non logged in – issue persists

disabling the email seemed to be the thing that fixed this issue

If your one digital ocean it doesn’t have an email server built in, you can install one so I’m curious are you using a smtp plugin like: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

or how did you set up the email?
