PHP version for WP 6.4.2

    I have a WordPress website in development that is currently running on PHP 7.4.33. I think I should be using a newer version of PHP which I beleive this version on WordPress supports. Other available version is PHP 8.0.3. When I try to use this version I get an error.

    Any recommendations / discussion as to what I should do? I notice that both versions of PHP are outdated?
