The plugin may be corrupt. Cannot get my website to come up as long as the embpicasa plugin is activated and logged in with my email and password. I cannot get past the error without physically going to the hosting server and deleting the plugin’s folder. Error as follows:

PHP Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: https:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WEBSITE\wp-content\plugins\embpicasa\embpicasa.php on line 381
PHP Warning: file_get_contents(https://…@gmail.com?kind=album) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WEBSITE\wp-content\plugins\embpicasa\embpicasa.php on line 381

Oh, I see, it seems that you have very strick hosting environment. Can you please ask your hosting to look at this error – they should be able to fix that.

I’m hosting it on a Windows 2003 IIS server and I’m kind of stumped. It all worked fine until recently when Google switched to Google Photos.

I’ve upgraded both WordPress and the plugin to the latest versions without success.

Can you please check does allow_url_fopen is turned on (Its will be under server settings \ PHP Manager \ Manage all settings) or if you do not use PHP Manager it can be found in php.ini.

I edited my php.ini file and turned that option “On”. I then restarted the IIS service and tried again. Now I get the following error instead:

PHP Warning: file_get_contents(https://…@gmail.com/albumid/6051352241789336481?kind=photo&thumbsize=150c&imgmax=640u) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found

Make sure that your album is publicly available, otherwise it wont shown up.

To verify that – just try to open link from error message in your browser.

That seems to have fixed it. Since they switched over to Google Photos, their system must have somehow reset all my album settings back to private again. Once I marked those particular albums public again and refreshed it then works. Thank you very much!!

    Glad to hear that!
