    Hello,

I post this ticket because I replied on a resolved ticket of @manni79 and @vmarko
I posted already in another thread, but because the other thread is general resolved, I think it is not pushed anymore and nobody will find it:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/error-preg_match-compilation-failed-pgcache_contentgrabber-php-on-line-920/?loggedout=true

I have the same error after upgrading my install of W3 Total Cache to version 0.14.1 on:
    WordPress version 5.4.1
    Server architecture Linux 4.19.113-combell x86_64
PHP version 7.4.6 (Supports 64bit values)
I am facing the following error:
PHP Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: quantifier does not follow a repeatable item at offset 0 in /data/sites/web/URL/www/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/PgCache_ContentGrabber.php on line 952′
PHP Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: quantifier does not follow a repeatable item at offset 0 in /data/sites/web/URL/www/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/PgCache_ContentGrabber.php on line 952′

I have the following “Never cache the following pages” settings:
    wp-.*\.php
    index\.php

Question is: how to solve this?

I see also periodically my site is going down for a minute of so.

    Thanks in advance,

    Best Regards,
    Staf

    Hello @stafca

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
The mentioned wearing is related to “Never cache the following pages” pgcache.reject.uribut there is also a possibility that some files got broken during the update.
Try adding some page E.G. /contact/ to the “Never cache the following pages” filed, save all settings and purge the cache and see if the issue persists.
if not simply remove that page from the mentioned filed, save all settings and purge the cache.
    Thanks!
