PHP warning thrown in wp-security-helper.php

    Version: 5.3.1

    I’m getting the following message in the logs:

    PHP Warning: foreach() argument must be of type array|object, null given in /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/classes/wp-security-helper.php on line 130

    Not sure which IP address list it’s looking up, but looks like it just needs to handle it being empty.

    Thanks for raising issue.

    If you have stack trace of the error please let me know, It might be some how empty list of ipaddress passed to cross check. I will create internal ticket for this issue.

    I don’t have a stack trace unfortunately, just that error message – if it turns out to be one of the optional IP lists in the plugin settings then it would be helpful to know which one, and whether simply populating it with something would mitigate the issue in the short term until a fix is rolled out.

    Hi @nexbridge,

    It seems an issue with the Block fake Googlebots.

    Can you please disable the WP security > Firewall > Internet bots – Disable the Block fake Googlebots: feature and check if it stops that warning.

    I will create an internal ticket for this issue and get back to you.

    OK I’ve done that now, although it only happens every now and then so I’ll monitor it over the next couple of weeks.

    AIOS 5.3.2 has been released now. As a daily update, it updates the Google bot IPs.

    This issue should be fixed now.
