• Hello Community,
    I have the following environment:
WordRess 5.9.2; PHP 8.0.17; Themes Sydney 2.02 and bbPress 2.6.9

Everything has worked so far for installation. Only when creating a forum, that is when saving I get the following PHP warnings in the php file capabilities.php.

Warning: Undefined property: stdClass::$edit_page in /homepages/13/d341475975/htdocs/clickandbuilds/TheRaceDaysStuttgart/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 172

After activating default theme twentytwenty it does not come to this PHP warnings.
    Everything works as expected.

Any idea how to turn it off east?

    Hans

  • Hi Hans,

I am sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing.

I am not sure Sydney theme is causing you this trouble. To confirm this by yourself, you can try temporarily switching to one of default WordPress theme for checking purpose while running troubleshooting mode (you can enable with Health Check plugin).

Let me know whether the PHP warning remains or not.

    Hi Kharis,
as I wrote in my post, this was my first attempt at narrowing down the problem.
After activating the default theme twentytwenty this PHP Warning did not occur anymore.
Even after deactivating all plugins except theme Sydney and bbPress the PHP warnings occurred.

    Hi,

    Thank you for getting back.

It looks like the PHP warnings appearing on your screen is related to your current PHP version. I’ll be reporting this to our development team to investigate the theme further for particular PHP version compatibility fixes. Mean while, if possible, I’d recommend rolling back to PHP 7.4.
