• Merry Xmas everyone!??

Anyway, has anyone ever had the issue of not being able to access PHPMyAdmin locally? I keep on getting error message of not being able to connect.

I’m trying to get a SQL table that was used for a WordPress site and I’m not having much luck. Was developed locally and never had this issue before. I have the rest of my files saved and my work is completed so I need this badly for a client.

Things I have done or reviewed:
    – Used MAMP to try to connect using WPbeginner tutorials.
    – I have checked the WordPress file WPconfig.php and everything seems to be ok!
    – Apache runs fine and can connect.

This really is not a WordPress problem.

Thank you either way! Any input would be appreciated too. :]

    Let’s clarify a few things ??

    – you are running MAMP on a Mac?
    – you have MAMP running and the icons for Apache and MySQL in the MAMP Control Pane show that both servers are running ?
    – you can access the MAMP Start Page?
    – the problem arises when you select phpMyAdmin from the Tools menu on the MAMP Start Page?

    Cheers!
    Lyle
