• I recently upgraded my MAMP to MAMP3 and find that now my PHPmyAdmin will not allow me to log in to my control panel.

PHPInfo shows all, as far as I can tell, the info it ever did, but I get a 1045 error when I try to go to the actual admin tool. The live site, online is, thankfully still working fine but needs some work, which I want to test here.

    Any ideas?

    Macbook Pro with Mavericks 10.9.2.

  • This would be a MAMP support question and not a WordPress support question. I’ve not seen an issue with MAMP when I upgraded, for what its worth.

Yes. I have posted there. My thought was perhaps someone here is doing what I am trying to do, and might have knowledge about this.

    So, thanks.

Now I have downgraded to MAMP 2.x and, when I go to the wp-admin/install file, it tells me ” To reinstall please clear your old database tables first”

Which I do not know how to do.

Anyone want to make a recommendation?

Downgrading MAMP to 2.x worked. Not sure why, but I was able to open up PHPmyAdmin and change the URL, etc. so that I can now admin it all and, in theory, edit the PHP/HTML/etc. to tweak the site.

But first, I am updating to WP 3.9…
