Phrase being stripped away upon save

    Folks I’m having a weird problem. I think I may have a worm because the phrase “Toyota Hilux Vigo” is being stripped from site upon save. Please see the article https://toyota-dealer.org/wp1/toyota-hilux-vigo.html. As soon as I saved it all the instances of Toyota Hilux Vigo were stripped not just from the post but also from images as if someone is targeting “Toyota” “Hilux” and “Vigo” separately because the phrase Toyota Hilux Revo is restricted to Revo. This is happening on both my Joomla and WordPress site. The Joomla site is in the root and WordPress in a folder.

  • It’s possible there is some sort of Mod_Security setting on your server that is doing this. Have you talked to your host about it?

    Thanks Jamie. Actually it was a worm on my computer. When I did an anti-malware cleanup, the problem was resolved. Hard to figure out though who would want to target that some phrases are stripped away. Very targeted worm.
