Ok i found out why the first error was on my screen, its because of a misplaced folder, wich is a bug. there has to be a folder picasacache inside de wigdets folder.

I was checking the rss that picasa gives away and i had it wrong. So i got this little thing right and the error messages went away like snow before the sun.

But it still has to go wrong, its not displaying anything ?? i dont get it, how hard can it be you stupid plugin ??

Since that plugin was released, picasa has changed how things work, so those plugins probably won’t work particularly well anymore.

I’ve been working on a few Picasa plugins of my own, but there’s still issues which is why I have not released any of them yet.

thats a damn shame because like many like me there is a certain love for the google products.

but i can see why its hard because the rss of the picasaweb also gives text output

well lets hope that somebody steps up with a nice plugin or widget for this web app

Well, I do have a functional one on my own blog. Currently it’s showing a slideshow of a single album from your web albums. I’d like to add a lot more functionality to it and bulletproof it somewhat. Currently it throws errors when it can’t retrieve the album’s feed (rare, but it happens from time to time).

A “matrix” view or some number of random shots would be nice to have in there as well. But I can’t seem to come up with a nice interface to let you choose. At this point, I’m thinking of a single plugin that adds a number of different widgets for different views.

well a widget that shows phots from one album is more then enough functionalty for me at the moment. its beats showing nothing ??

So if you are willing to share that would rock dude ??

I have just started out with my picasa acount so i dont have much to show and if the widget shows the pictures its fine because they are random already
