Thanks you for your quick reply. I don’t want the widget to display any posts to start with, and to only show a pull-down arrow and a default choice such as “Click the Arrow to Pick a Category”. (Your description on the WordPress widget download area seems to indicate you have provided for this function but I don’t see how to configure it.) Then, when the user would click the arrow, the drop-down list would show a list of all my available categories. The user should be able to pick the category they want from the list. Is this doable? Thanks! (I had a Word doc ready to attach with illustrations but apparently this forum doesn’t provide for attachments. Can I send you the doc by email?)
