This is an UM Bug reported for “Ukrainian datepicker translations file”
and my investigations also included the Japanese language files.

indeed translation files is ja_JP when it should be ja.js

So as for now, there is nothing that can be done? or should i manually change the translation file to ja.js (i guess it will be overwrite when update)

Yes you can rename the Japanese JavaScript file, if it will solve your issue.
Right, you have to do this rename for every UM update.

Do you know if this bug could stop “Use custom Date format” from working ? i’m trying to put the format to yyyy/mm/dd but it doesnt seem to work.

No, it’s a JavaScript format you must add by using this hook.

Try this code snippet for adding the format:

add_filter( 'um_get_field_date', 'my_custom_get_field_date', 10, 1 );

function my_custom_get_field_date( $field_data ) {
    
    $field_data['js_format'] = 'yyyy/mm/dd';

}

Add the code snippet to your active theme’s functions.php file
or use the “Code Snippets” plugin.

oh i see, you need to add the code in function to be able to use it in Use custom Date format on the dashboard.
