I’ve got two navigation bars on my Genesis theme.

    1. Login/logout etc.
    2. Site navigation

I want the second navigation bar to be sticky. I’m not a css expert, but I can usually figure this kind of thing out pretty easily. However, I give up and hope you can help.

So far, no matter which class or id I put in I get one of two results: Nothing at all, or navigation bar 1 becomes sticky.

If I turn off navigation bar 1, then I can get navigation bar 2 to stick.

My most recent attempt was with ul#menu-main-menu.menu-secondary

    Hope you can help!

  • @andrei808 try ul#menu-main-menu

ok, now the top navigation bar is sticky, but my main navigation bar is not. It looks like there is a white block across the screen, rather than the navigation elements.

I have the plugin activated and your suggestion in place. I’ll leave both until you can have a look.

@andrei808 under “basic settings” tab You have a field called “Space between top of page and sticky element: (optional)”. Put number 44 there and see if that solves the issue.

    That worked nicely!

But why is the top navigation also sticky? I only want the main site navigation to appear when scrolling. Is this happening because of the plugin, or is this some sort of theme thing?

@andrei808 this is a theme thing. If Your theme is configurable You should have some sort of config to remove the sticky part.
