    Hi all,
I have a problem with NextGen Gallery since update to version 3.4.7. After importing pictures to a gallery, the IDs are no more in a row.
You’ll see it when opening a certain gallery and all the pictures are shown with the preview. There are sorted by name. BUT, now, the IDs are no more in a row. To give an example for the ID shown top down: 774, 777, 778, 776. Previously they were always increasing.
This makes it difficult for me, because I add them to pages using the singlepic=xxx feature. That are travel pictures normally strict in a row to which I add some text.

I’m using latest wordpress and NextGen. It’s a Chrome brwoser on latest Windows.
I would gess they have changed the upload speed and scenario and it might be related to that. At upload the pictures are done one by one any more.

I would be glad, if anyone can help, give a workaround or have a further clue.

    Regards txbsh

This is a side effect of our new image uploader; because it allows multiple parallel uploads to process at once it’s possible for smaller images to finish before larger ones which will cause this problem.

Unfortunately I don’t have an easy solution for you, but if you’re comfortable with some simple code editing: you’ll need to edit nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_addgallery_page/templates/upload_images.php and on line 150 change limit: 6, to limit: 1,

I’ve made a note to make this an option in some way in a future release.

    Hi Benjamin,
    many thanks for your help!
Your suggestion is a good idea! In the meantime I found out, that it will also help to make a ZIP fist and upload this. But this is another step…
To have an easy option setting for this would be really great! I guess there are many other people which will be happy…
    Regards txbsh
