picture in post showing up as link

I have been trying to add a picture to one of my posts. I’ve tried copying the url into the box that says ‘gotham news custom settings’ in the image box. When I do this instead of an image I get a link to the image. This was not happening on past posts- they used the same method and type of url to add a picture and it worked fine. I’ve also tried inserting the picture through html- while that does work I cannot get the text to wrap around the picture so that it doesn’t just sit at the top. Any help would be very much appreciated!!
