Picture source for slider

  • Hi everybody!

    Is it possible that the slider takes the first pic from the project and not the “featured image” ?

    Background: My featured images are relatively small (800x800px, because of the loading time) which fits perfectly for the normal thumbnails.
    I want to show only a few pictures in the slider, but they have to be bigger (and I don’t want to change them manually), otherwise they look pixelated. I have a bigger pic in the project and I’d be great if the slider would take this as a source instead of the tiny featured image.

    It appears this is sort of a common request, and I would suggest starting here.

    You can find additional stuff by searching on Google for pull url for first image in post. Most of the results seem to have to do with WordPress.
