Pictures appear as broken

    As you see the pictures appear to be broken despite they are in my gallery. I have tried deactivating my plugins but it did not help. Earlier this month it was working and then one day they appeared like this.

    Can anyone help?

  • It looks like you have an old version of a theme and it may be using timthumb.
    Have you run the timthumb vunerability check? (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/timthumb-vulnerability-scanner/)
    Where did you get the theme?
    What changes did you make before it stoped working? (i.e. upgrade WP? or a plugin? deactivated a plugin?)

    you may need someone to dig into the theme and your site to determine what has happened and if it has timthumb bundled, I’d recommend you get a new theme.

    Yes I have run the scanner and it shows nothing. Today when I logged in I saw this message (It has been there before):

    Can’t Connect to update server

    I did not create the website so it was the old administrator that got the theme.

    There has not been any updates before I discovered it (the same problem is also on the main page). After I discovered it I updated WP and all outdated plugins.

    Based on file_get_contents(https://support.creativeworkz.co.uk/theme-ver.txt) my guess is the theme you have is trying to ‘call home’ and home is that url. Now that url no longer exists so you get the error.

    You eithor need to dig into the theme and determine what it is doing and see if you can patch it so it will keep working (or hire someone to do it for you) or you should think about getting a new theme.

    That’s about the best advice I can offer you.
