Pictures disappear from post and media library

  • Hi,
    An odd thing recently happened to my blog.
    Today I opened up a post to edit it. The post was from about a year ago. When I opened the post to edit it, an odd thing was that the images were no longer showing in the edit window. I edited the text and updated, and now the photos are completely gone from my post. Not only that, they have completely disappeared from my media library. This only happened to one post. I don’t want to try doing it to another post for fear I’ll lose more images.

    These were images uploaded directly to my media library from my desktop, so there’s no way it could be an expired link or anything like that.

    I’m using Origami theme. Anyone have any clue what happened and if they’re missing from my media library if there is any way possible to get them back??

  • Have you ever deleted anything from your media library?

    Have you moved hosts?

    You could try using a search engine for the exact title of the post and seeing what is cached by them. They might have the images.
