Pictures disappearing

That is a bit strange. It usually should not happen like this. Could you double-check if you are using multiple caching plugins at a time?

If yes, could you disable others and then give it a try? Make sure you also disable the jetpack plugin as that does optimize the assets and images which could conflict too.

I have the same problem or worse: we deactivated Hummingbird and now the images, css and js are not loaded. The console shows me mod_pagespeed loading errors. I have to clear the mod_pagespeed cache from the server so that everything works again. I have already removed all traces of the plugins Hummingbird, but the error comes back every 5 or 6 hours after clearing the pagespeed cache.

Please help me to solve this problem.

mod_pagespeed is a PageSpeed module for your server. This is not part of Hummingbird and Hummingbird has no way of managing it.
