Pictures Displaying Sideways in Post

  • I take my pictures with my iPhone 6s and upload them to Mac book (Old generation, the white one in 2009 but has been updated with current iOS software). They upload vertically to WP but sometimes (not all the time) I have to rotate them to display correct vertically in Chrome and/or Safari which causes them to display sideways in Internet Explorer. Any one know how to fix this issue so they the pictures uploads to WP correctly and displays correctly in each browser ? Also, can someone explain it to me in simple terms. I am a newbie at WP and blogging. ??

  • I’m not familiar with iPhones, but you should be able to edit the photo on iPhone and rotate them before uploading.
    Otherwise once uploaded into the Media library on WordPress, click on the image and then “Edit Image” and then the icons above the image will allow to rotate the image clockwise or anti-clockwise.
