Pictures in Gallery not enlarging, totally black

  • I have used WP for several years and used to have no problems in enlarging thumbnails from a gallery. Now when I click on thumbnails, I get a black page on both new posts and old ones that used to work. EWhy

    Your domain name is robinmcneil.ca, and not the rymcneil.ca you gave. The latter is not even registered. And this is the only page with a gallery: https://robinmcneil.ca/the-garden-2/

    The likely reason for the broken pop-up image (aka lightbox) is the very old plugin you’re using: Gallery Carousel Without JetPack.

    This plugin hasn’t been updated in over 7 years, and, for all intents and purposes, it’s been abandoned. You need to remove this plugin, and find a replacement lightbox plugin.

    And while you’re at it, you also want to update your theme… and check that all your plugins are still under active development and updated to support the latest version of WordPress (6.0) that your site is currently running.

    Running very old plugins with the latest version of WordPress is just calling for trouble.
