my host has upgraded php or mysql or database( little new at database stuff). after that everything has went crazy!

first – memory error message similar to this

(Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1966080 bytes) in /home2/user1/public_html/fantasy/wp-includes/class-simplepie.php on line 5353)

which we fixed by increasing the memory.

second – I’m missing icons in wordpress visual and the wordpress logo is missing on the dashboard and other places.

third – i can upload a photo to the library then attach it to a post and publish. but when i go to the site the picture is missing.

    Can someone please help!!

  • That sounds like your host has introduced a folder permissions issue when upgrading PHP. Have you checked with them to see if you need to add anything to your php.ini or .htaccess file to use the new version of PHP?

ok for anyone out there looking over and over for an answer to this like i did.
    I deleted the wp-admin
and the wp-incldes folders off the server.
then downloaded a fresh wordpress and uploaded the new wp-admin and wp-includes folder and it fixed every poblem i had.
