    Hello,
I have two galleries on one page and would like to use the slideshow option on both. But when I the slide show auto starts it takes forever to load the pictures and sometimes loads some images very large and close up, and others don’t load at all. The pop up box just becomes very small and gets stuck. I tried to switch the setting so there is no slide show and you manually click through, but even then the pictures take a long time to load. Why? I would like to use the slide show feature but the pics need to load quickly and they aren’t….sometimes it takes so long that the slide show moves on to the next picture without finishing loading the previous ones.
thanks in advance for your help.
    Tanya

    Hello!
Our developer checked the galleries on your site. The problem is that images in your galleries are big enough, but your server has very small loading speed. Please try to resize your images with this plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-smushit/ . Maximum size of your images must be – 2000×2000 pixels.
As for the problem with skipping images in slideshow – it is also connected with large sizes of the images. You can try to change slideshow speed in gallery settings. But if you will resize your images – this problem problem will disappear.

    Please try it.

Thank you! Do I need to re-upload the pictures into the gallery once I have “smushed” them? Or does smushing them in your media library automatically change the size within the gallery as well?
    Thanks so much,
    Tanya

    Hello!
No, you don’t need to re-upload the photos. Simply clear the cache in your browser and check the gallery again.
