    Hi there,
since the update to 2.20 the pictures in the gallery are not shown anymore (Theme: Bard pro). Just blank spaces.
I downgraded to 2.19 to make it work again. I see that this is a problem more people have. Are there news about how to solve the issue? I disabled auto updat for now.
    Thanks in advance,
    Florian

  • I have the same problem but only on mobile and with carousel type. You too?
I can’t visualize image on carousel, I see empty.

With version 2.19 and 2.20. The problem is replicable on chrome and safari from mobile.

The problem is visible here, after spotify playlists.

P.S. I notice that I can visualize your page correctly from Mac. But with iPhone I see grey space.

Yes, very annoying sudden problem. none of my visual portfolios work with 2.20. Not in browsers and not in mobiles.
Hope the developers will answer with possible solutions?

Ok. I think i found the conflict. I had a plugin installed called W3 Total Cache. I disabled it and the 2.20 version seem to function well now

    Hey.

@justflorian I have replied to you in Slack.

@sofiafulgido I see all images are displaying correctly on your site. Please, read this post first https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/please-read-before-post/ and then create a separate topic with all necessary information about your issue.

    Regards, nK.

Similar issue as described above, only affecting lazy loading of images with Jetpack’s site accelerator (note: only VP versions above 2.19 are affected).

Description: once the number of items exceeds the defined the <custom count> (under <items per page>) in a VP layout, pictures are replaced with gray boxes; further inspection reveals the inability of VP to resolve base64 references to Jetpack’s Photon CDN therefore displaying a blank image.

Mitigation: Completely disabling Jetpack’s “Site accelerator” addresses the problem.

    Hey.

Please, try to update the plugin to v2.20.1. There was a conflict between 3rd party optimization plugins and our noscript styles loading process.

p.s. @fstrim not sure Jetpack conflict is the same as described in this topic. If it will not be fixed with the latest update, please, let me know.

    Regards, nK.

    Cheers @nko

2.20.1 effectively tackles the issue: images’ addresses from the aforementioned <custom count> + 1 are now correct and Jetpack’s Photon (or whatever they call it these days) CDN serves them as the usual https://i0.wp.com/whatever – however by enabling Jetpack’s “Enable lazy loading for images”, VP reverts to the incorrect behaviour I previously described.

Having said that, apologies if I posted my report in the incorrect thread/topic as I went for the closest symptoms describing the problem at hand.

@fstrim – I also have this issue (differently-shaped/formatted images not resizing in a row to leave large gaps between images), and found switching the ‘Enable Lazy Loading for images’ switch off on JetPack solved the issue. This is the only site I maintain with JetPack (and the only site I have this Visual Portfolio plugin, too), and the client is happy to leave the switch off, so all good here.
