Pictures wont upload to site and blank website

I am trying to upload pictures to my products using the media section.
I head to Media Library
then to file, and select a file.
I once I click on view image it gives me the option to edit image(currently its set to “product image coming soon!”
I click “add new”
Browse and select a photo which is under the file size limit
then it just comes back with “error saving media attachment” and wont display any new images…

Also with this, my pages no longer display on my website(when it was working previously) When I type my website in, it comes up with a blank white page. I’m actually beginning to suspect that my trying to upload photos, and this new problem are linked(I tried to upload pictures approx. 2 weeks ago, and that’s when the website stopped showing).
