Picturesque Theme

I’m new to WordPress, but not cms’ in general. I’ve installed the Picturesque theme, but cannot get it to show on the front page. I’ve created a test album and a test gallery with one image in it for right now. I’ve read the couple of posts on the Picturesque theme, but no help there. is there any documentation for this theme i’m missing? our site url is https://www.donnamjones.com. any help will be greatly appreciated.
