Pingbacks Not Being Received For Custom Post Type

    I have a strange problem with a custom post type called “Reviews”. I don’t receive Pingbacks for posts of this type at all – I’ve tested linking to posts of this type from several WordPress blogs but haven’t received one pingback. The strange thing is, that if I link to a post of the standard “Post” type I receive the pingback fine.

    I have “Allow link notifications from other blogs” ticked in the Discussion settings, and “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page” is ticked for each individual page.

    Has anyone else every experienced this problem? I’ve been stuck all afternoon trying to get this work, but I haven’t been able to find any threads that deal with the same problem!

    Would really appreciate any suggestions anybody could kindly give!

    if you have a custom post type you are most likely using a custom theme?

    I create theme templates for a living and oddly enough im having the same problem.
    When I register my custom post type I have comments being set to be supported and comments work fine just like a normal post. However custom post types don’t receive track backs at all.

    If any one knows the answer to this I would like to know. I have been pulling my hair out for a while now.
