Pings with Edited Timestamp and Ecto Blogging Client?

  • Hopefully someone can just confirm my understanding.

    I am posting to WordPress 2.0 with Ecto 2.0, with an edited timestamp to post throughout the day.

    Q: Am I correct that I should turn off pinging in Ecto, so that pings will be sent from WordPress at the time the post is published?

    My wordpress Update Services options are set as recommended in the Codex – i.e., an appropriate list of things to ping.
