Pinnacle/Child theme/unexpected PHP debug output

  • Hi,

    when I try to create Child theme do the Theme “Pinnacle”, I get information:
    “The theme “Pinnacle” generated unexpected PHP debug output.”

    Notice: Undefined variable: bg_style in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/pinnacle/templates/home/page-title-home.php on line 59

    Notice: Undefined variable: bg_repeat in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/pinnacle/templates/home/page-title-home.php on line 59

    Notice: Undefined variable: bg_size in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/pinnacle/templates/home/page-title-home.php on line 59

    Notice: Undefined variable: bg_position in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/pinnacle/templates/home/page-title-home.php on line 59

    Notice: Undefined variable: bg_attachment in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/pinnacle/templates/home/page-title-home.php on line 59

    There is also mentioned: The analyzer reveals errors that may otherwise go undetected. Unless this is a fatal error, WordPress may appear to work correctly; however, PHP will continue to log the error until it is resolved.

    Should I skip it and continue, or there is another way to deal with it?

    Hi Anna,
    Do you know what version of PHP you’re on? You should be running at least 7. Your host should be able to tell you this if you don’t know.

    Hi Hannah,

    I use QNAP NAS and it looks like it used to use PHP version 5.6.36.
    I’ve changed it yesterday to the version 7 and it still doesn’t work.

    Any others idea?

    Yes, I did. Twice. It did not help.

    What version of Pinnacle are you using? Where exactly are you getting those notices Can you post a link?
