Pinnacle Theme update has crashed site
-
Hi
I have the Pinnacle theme installed on my website. It has been in use for about a year. The latest update 1.4.8 has reduced my site to a white page.
https://www.creative-spirit.co.uk
Is there a way I can reset this version to 1.4.7 until I can find out what is wrong or is this issue already in hand ?.
I have my site backed up if that is the only way to reset but will leave me the problem of farther updates.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
regards

Update
I have backed up the site and reinstalled version 1.4.7 and this has corrected the problem.
Updating the site theme now is a problem for the site. Is this issue one that has been reported before and is being looked into or is there any help available that will allow me to keep using this theme. ?
Are there security issues to worry about if I remain on the original 1.4.7 theme.
Regards
Kev
Hey,
this is the first instance of this that I’ve heard of. Did you see any errors when the update failed?
I’ll send this over to the theme developer.
-Kevin
Hey,
very little changed from version 1.4.7 to 1.4.8 we added some small fix for a specific sever type. Can you look in your php error logs and find out what error was happening when you updated?

Kadence ThemesHi Guys
Sorry for the delay in posting, on UK time.
Thanks for the replies and to answer the points you both raised I installed a plugin this morning called Error log viewer. I then tried the theme update again. It has installed correctly this time ?,on the previous install attempts no error was given after installation it showed successful even though the site was reduced to a white screen home page.I am not sure what has changed from yesterday apart from installing the error log viewer, the site is now updated and appears to be ok, I will monitor it for the rest of the day to make sure.
I hope I haven’t worried you guys to much, I am at a loss as to what has happened here.If there are ant farther developments I will get back to you. Thanks…
Regards
KevinHi
I have an update I hope you can help ?.
My last message stated that I managed to install the update but I am afraid that was only temporary. Later in the day I wanted to clean up a couple of posts and one of them I deleted. That deletion triggered the site to go down again. Again I updated the site with an earlier version of the theme ( theme only) and again the site was put back into operation.Kadence Themes asked if I could post any PHP error logs, I have managed to get them today…….

KevinHey,
Those urls just point to error logs on your site. *none of which happen to target the theme directly
But you would need to open those logs to see what is inside them. Typically a hosting provider would be able to really offer some help here telling you what you need to know.Kadence Themes
Ok thank you i have asked if they would do that.
I will get back to you if it is necessary. Many thanks
KevinHello
A couple of weeks ago I opened a post regarding the Pinnacle theme and that it seemed to be involved with an error that was reducing my Front page to white screen.
The problem has been ongoing but very intermittent, the theme is updated now and I have some farther information that I hope you will be able to advise me on how to go forward.
I have firstly had to turn off off three plugins, WP Content Copy Protection & No Right Click, WP Fastest Cache, WP ImageEngine. Any of these turned on at this time again produces the fault in question (White screen)
This error though may be more important….
On my appearance tab – themes I am receiving this error….

KevI have that message too. I think it’s been there for almost a week since WooCommerce updated.
Hey,
Here is what the theme developer has to say about this from another thread:
Woocommerce updated the above templates and so did the theme. But they didn’t update the version number so as following with woocommerce we didn’t either. Then after 3.0 came out they realized they didn’t update the version number so in version 3.0.1 they change those file version numbers to what they should have been all along which is 3.0.
So whats important to note is that ht theme files are actually all updated. You won’t have any issues as a result of that notice. It’s just saying that the version number of the files are still back.
There will be an update out today that will simply change the version number and it will remove the notice.
You should be fine and this will go away with a new update.
-Kevin
Thank you
There was another update this morning that has cleared that message/fault on my site.
regards
Kev
